CLOVIS, Fresno County — November 4, 2026. Preliminary November 3 results show Mason Magsig, Matt Basgall and Drew Bessinger leading three separate City Council district elections in Clovis. The first numbers were published by KMJ News Talk at 9:37 p.m. Pacific on Election Night and are not certified results.

District 1

Mason Magsig held 57.81% of the reported vote to 41.61% for Maeketah Sayasane in the first results snapshot. The remaining small share may include write-in or other reporting categories. District 1 residents vote for their own seat, not every city council seat in Clovis.

District 4

Matt Basgall led with 61.79% against 37.52% for Brian Wilson in the same KMJ first reporting batch. Additional legal ballots may still need processing.

District 5

Drew Bessinger had 56.44%, ahead of Sarah Almond at 23.53%, in the KMJ table. The source’s abbreviated District 5 summary does not list every candidate, so the unreported remainder must not be incorrectly assigned to Almond or treated as uncounted ballots.

Clovis is not Fresno city

Clovis City Council seats are distinct from Fresno’s District 1, 3 and 7 elections. Residents of unincorporated Fresno County also have different local contests depending on their addresses. City Council members participate in decisions about housing, infrastructure, streets, municipal finances and local services.

Later official results

These are the 9:37 p.m. November 3 first reported percentages, not a final county canvass. For subsequent vote totals consult the Fresno County Registrar of Voters.
